Karen and Rory,

I’m saddened to know that we lost a great person, friend, colleague and family man last week and Caron and I send our deepest condolences.

He travelled the world and made many friends and was a great influence on many including myself.

We walked the same path professionally, graduating The University of Birmingham, working at WH Allen in Bedford before joining P&G. In fact James hired me !!

Our paths crossed many times and we were close colleagues in Family Care supporting our manufacturing sites to make Bounty, Charmin and Puffs.

P&G has an driving principle of Touching Lives, Improving Life. James certainly did just that.

We will all miss him, but we are brightened by the great memories he gave us and know that he is at peace now.

God bless and we will keep the Crabbe Family in our prayers and thoughts.

John & Caron O’Hanlon.

Karen –

Want to offer my prayers and condolences to you and Rory. Was fortunate to meet James while in Mehoopany and then worked with him on and off until in his retirement. His kindness, passion and technical knowledge made him a great teacher and mentor.

My condolences to you and your family

I am deeply saddened to hear that we have lost such a kind and great man. James was supportive and kind , regardless of anyone’s position at P&G, and due to this was an exceptional manager of people. He always managed to make me laugh when things got tough and we could always count on him, here in Euskirchen.

I still cant believe he is not there. I can never forget his sense of humor and the smile he carried on his face. I had the opportunity to interact with him very closely and it hurts me deeply. May his soul rest in peace. I wish the family stays strong in this difficult moment.

I’m really sad to hear the news of James’s passing.
We were close colleagues for 30 years including the 3 years we all spent together in NEPA.
His commitment, knowledge, willingness to help, and ironic sense of humour made him a great person to work with. Even for an ex-Rugby referee!
I hope you are doing Ok in the circumstances. My thoughts are with you both

I am very sorry and sad to learn of James’s passing. James had a tremendous impact on me and taught me many things at P&G while we traveled from plant to plant. His humor and charisma also made work fun and enjoyable. He was a mentor and a teacher to me. He always put people first and cared deeply how they feel. He always spoke very proudly of Rory and talked about his family. I will miss him greatly as friend and mentor. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

The Sims’ family is incredibly saddened to hear about James’ passing. As you may remember, I had the great pleasure of working directly with James for the four years preceding his retirement from the Family Care Business Unit. James and I spent many hours together traveling to the various manufacturing facilities. James knew that I liked to drive and therefore his primary role was that of navigator, a bossy role that he enjoyed! Following James’ retirement, I found myself traveling alone quite a bit and I switched the settings in my navigation app so that the announcer had a male, British accent; a virtual Mr. Crabbe if you will! I learned a tremendous amount from James during those travels. His mastery, wit, passion for winning, and standards of excellence were always obvious in every discussion. Like many, I feel extremely fortunate to have known and worked with James. I pray that you will soon find healing, peace and comfort in this difficult time. If I can ever be of assistance to you, please do not hesitate to reach out.

A bright light has left this world for so many people with the loss of James. He was a trusted friend, colleague, mentor and teacher. His love for his family was obvious. He was someone so respected and with so much character, he could move people to act, at any level, often with a bit of humor – or maybe more than a bit! I am honored to have worked with him across many assignments, locations, time zones, and organizations. My sympathies and prayers are with you in this tragic time and I hope you find comfort in knowing you are in so many of our thoughts and prayers.
