You will be deeply missed. We loved you as our brother-in-law (a brother) and I especially loved writing about your WWII and Korean experience in fighting to defend our then UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Yes, you served our country WHEN it was the United States, and now what are we? I served 38 years with the United States Air Force and it was then when the uniform and dress codes were well respected, TODAY it is an absolute disrespect. We have foreign doctors and other positions who are allowed to dress in their own country’s “garb” changing the military regulation. The military bearing has lost total respect now allowing same-sex, gays to be acknowledged. When sending care packages to our men and women to the east we are NOT allowed to send the Holy Bible to our troops due to the fact that the “eastern” way of living does NOT accept the Word of God. The world is changing and changing for the worst. So glad that Charles H. Gorton, “The Navy Cap” served “his” country when it WAS the time when ALL military branches were MILITARY.
