Jimmie R. Stewart, 76, of New Port Richey, Florida, and formerly of Reelsville, Indiana, passed away on February 26th, 2023. He was born on February 12th, 1947 to Floyd and Dorothy (Siner) Stewart of Reelsville, Indiana. He grew up in Reelsville, Indiana, and graduated from Reelsville High School in 1965. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving from 1966 to 1968 in Germany. He worked as a fork lift operator at Anaconda Aluminum in Terre Haute, Indiana; owned an apple orchard in Muncie, Indiana; and retired from Advance Auto Parts in Florida.

Jimmie was a farm boy at heart. He doted on his family, especially granddaughter, Roma, and instilled in her some of his mischievous ways.  He loved Jesus, his family and his pets. He enjoyed traveling around Florida and the United States. He proudly made it to all fifty states. He also enjoyed rooting for the Tampa Bay Rays and Lightning and collecting anything that caught his eye. He was an honest, loyal and generous man. He imparted in his daughters the virtues of unconditional love and patience.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Dorothy, his brothers, Edward and Kenneth, and his sister-in-law, Pam. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Rebecca, daughters Brooke and Robin, granddaughter Roma, all of Florida; precious pups Bailey, Jackson, and Minnie; sister-in-law Beverly Stewart of Brazil, Indiana; nieces and nephews Aaron (Laura), Jennifer, and Stephen (Carie) of Indiana, and Todd (Stephanie) and Tracy, of Georgia, several great nieces and nephews and many cousins.

Celebration of life will be held at a later date in Indiana.
