Jason went to be with his beloved daughter Kendall last night after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Jason was in all accounts a “firefighter’s firefighter”. He was the epitome of brotherhood, a damn good cook, compassionate, funny, and genuine. He believed in treating everyone as though they were family, in giving your all to this profession and each other, and being the best that you can be for your brothers, sisters, and the community. He loved this job with a passion, being on the water, and the little things in life . He loved his family even more. He loved this firefighter brotherhood, his crew, and the people he had the honor of saving.
In 2018, he lost his daughter to a tragic accident and it rocked his world. He came back to the job with the mentality to live each day to its fullest. He wanted everyone to love each day and to show appreciation for what we have. He put his all into his special operations training and his assignment on Truck 1.
Jason, we love you brother, it has been our honor knowing and working with you. You will be missed. Rest in peace in paradise with your Monster. We’ll take it from here.
Wendy and Austin, our thoughts and prayers are with you and we send you our love.
Jason was diagnosed with cancer in July 2021 and medically retired July 2022 after 19 years of service with Pasco County Fire Rescue. Jason was also named Pasco County Fire Rescue employee of the year for 2022, an award he earned through his dedication to the job, our community, and our firefighters.

To the family of Jason. He was a dear friend and brother. He was an honor to work with at New Port Richey for many years. He was a true leader and dedicated his life to the people and community. He fought for the right and always stayed true to his belief. He always talked about his love of family. You will be missed brother. You are where you wanted to be with your beautiful daughter and we all are better to have known you. Rest well my friend.

Jason My Brother, it was such an honor to work with you, know you and admire you. The Sundays at the station were family days, wives and kids would come out to 36 and we would play with the kids, and eat a fabulous meal. It was these days I really got to know you and your strong bond with your family. We had a great time. You Will be missed my friend. Love You Man. Wendy and Austin you are in my thoughts and prayers

Jason was an amazing friend, husband, and father. Sometimes you meet people in life and are truly connected with them. I am going to truly miss that tucker smile! I was privileged to work many years with you, and spend countless hours outside of work fishing, camping, or just having fun. We will watch over your family for the rest of our lives in honor of you! I will truly miss you tuck!

I am sending lots of love and Aloha from the Big Island of Hawaii.
When I met Jason we we’re working on the cruise ship together, wow what a crazy time that was. Long work days and nights followed by crew parties on the fantail and somehow we survived.
There’s no question that Our friend Jason was loved by all and I believe that’s where he met his beautiful wife Wendy.
Island to Island day after day is a grind but we all loved it we all loved each other then one day the ship sailed without us.
Liberated and on a quest for adventure, Big Island here we come.
Diving Surfing and exploring was our daily routine young dumb and full of fun was what we were. Then one day the sun set and my friend was on to his next destination and with his beautiful wife in Florida it was another goal another adventure.
Life is short i know this following Jasons example i live everyday love and laugh honer my friends and lead by example, one of the many things we have in common.
What a loss on so many levels I can’t express how very sorry I am for everyone.
Smooth sailing and following seas my friend until we meet again.

One of the best! Went to Fire school with him! We car pooled some times! Sad to hear that the world has lost a good man. I’ll never forget that infectious laugh and light hearted attitude. My thoughts are with his wife and son.

Jason,
I have so many memories of our younger days carefree and fun! You were “ that guy” the one who was loved by all the Moms, who took care of us girls, a true gentleman! I would laugh hysterically as you drove me home from school some days with your head hanging out the window! Biology class in 10th grade, you were my lab partner, which included you taking the frog and putting it in your pocket and singing “ hello my baby, hello my hunny , hello my rag time gal” you always had me laughing which always got us in trouble! There are just too many memories I can name! Your friendship made such an impression on me and so many others! Thank you for that! I’ll always cherish it! Hug your baby girl tight! RIP my dear friend!

I will miss the times that you and your firefighter buddies came to our place in north Florida to hunt deer and hogs. It was always great fellowship, good food and fun times when you guys were here. You have etched everlasting fond memories in our minds and in our hearts. You fought the battle with courage and you are now with our heavenly Father to never again suffer any pain that goes with being on this beautiful earth. We will see you again one day in His heavenly kingdom. I look forward to seeing you again. Rest in peace my dear brother and know that God will take care of the family that you left behind.
