Carol Ann Norcott

December 22, 1937~June 12, 2023

A vibrant, beautiful woman died peacefully on June 12th, after spending time with her family. Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Carol was the oldest daughter of Frances and Vincent Stahl. Carol loved God, loved her family and loved a good adventure! She met James (Jim) Norcott at a Halloween party thrown by his sister and shortly after fell in love. They raised three wonderful children, Terry, Jimmy and Keith, in Melville, New York. Later in life, Carol and Jim relocated to Southampton, Pennsylvania, where she lived down the street from her best friend (and sister) Lorraine. Following Carol and Jim’s retirement, they spent their time between Southampton and Tarpon Springs, Florida. She loved cruising and traveling the world, with some of her favorite trips including Bermuda, Budapest, Norway, Singapore, China, Australia and New Zealand, and Antarctica. She was a bookworm, and loved to read, especially with her toes in the sand. She shuffled on the Stonehenge On The Hill Shuffleboard team for over 10 years, and played cards including pepper, hand and foot, and bridge regularly.  She volunteered for over 1,000 hours, at AdventHospital . She also served as Eucharistic Minister at St. Ignatius and volunteered at the food pantry. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with her family, and incredible friends and neighbors. Carol was predeceased by her son, Jimmy G. and her husband Jim. She was a fantastic sister to Vincent (Aileen) and Lorraine (Charlie), and mother to Terry (Tim), Jim (Regina) and Keith (Cindi). She is survived by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends and will be missed dearly by all. Please join us in celebrating her life on June 16th. A viewing will be held at Dobie Funeral Home Tarpon Springs Chapel from 11:30-12:30pm, with Mass to follow at 1pm at St. Ignatius of Antioch Roman Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her honor to the charity of your choice, and enjoy the little things in life.

Please join us in celebrating her memory on Saturday September 23rd at 11:15 at Melville Cemetery, 498 Sweet Hollow Road, Melville, NY 11747
