Nancy was a real character and a delightful neighbor. Her neighborhood “pool party” with all the kiddie pools was so much fun for everyone and really helped bring people together for some light entertainment. Always laughing, always happy and so full of life..she will be missed for sure. Our heart goes out to Jeff and the family for their loss. A life cut short.

Dear Nancy,

It was such an honored to have met you and Jeff on my visit for Emmy Menendez party.
You’re passionate and your inspiration possesses endless warmth. The memories you instilled in me with your laughter and all your jokes will never be forgotten.
I laughed so hard when you came to introduce yourself while I was sitting on the motorcycle.
“Hi, I’m Nancy, the crazy one of the blocks who walks around the neighborhood in my pink robe.” “Don’t mind me. You spoke.”

“You must be Dee.” Now finding out you too carry the name Dee. You stinker. Is that why you love that name. 😊
Your Sparkling Sense of Humor you brought on the cruise was definitely contagious.
Oh, I will never forget your Altoid mint tin box, my favorite mint.

Had I known you were leaving us so soon; I would have kept that empty tin box as my souvenir together with the beautiful sunflower card you picked out for me.
The message on the front of the card. A little Extra Sunshine. Yes, that was who you are. A breath of Sunshine. In your own handwriting, “G.F. Love U already” with “thanking me for my Kindness & Smiles! ““Nothing better than a girlfriend.” Your uplifting words of inspiration as I was leaving my Floridian new friends made to face my reality at home.

Nancy, When I got the news of your passing. I was so heartbroken with the news and to realize that when I do return back to highland park. You won’t be there with your favorite pink robe, and it will definitely feel strange not to hear that wonderful laugh of yours.

I picked up the card you gave to me before I left. Sent prayers to you, Jeff and your family and said to myself…
A G.F. is forever. Nancy Dee Rutter gained her beautiful wings and is in heaven with her Sparkling Sense of Humor entertaining all her departed loved ones and giving out mints, joy and laughter as she danced with no pain or suffering.

However, you will be missed here on earth, but your soul, and great memories built in just one week felt as if I knew you forever will always stay alive to those who got the pleasure to meet you.

You fought a very hard battle, but you never gave up on that battle.
You are a beautiful soul with beautiful wings flying high and strong.
A blessing Angel in the skies, I can definitely say a once in a lifetime G.F.
Rest in Peace GF, Nancy Dee Rutter. You will be missed, but never forgotten by all who loved you.

My deepest condolences to Jeff, the boys, grandchildren, family and friends.
Praying for strength during this very difficult time.

Love,
Delcia (Dee) Lee.
