Carole Heiser, 85 of Port Richey, passed away, surrounded by her family, on July 26, 2023.
She is proceeded in death by her husband Ronald Heiser, who she was happily married to for 58 years. Born in Chicago, she was the eldest child of Chris and Virginia Costa.
Carole and Ron moved their family to Brandon, Florida in 1970, where Carole, not long after, began her long standing career in the Mortgage Lending business.
Carole has been an active member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church since she moved to New Port Richey in 1997. She spread her knowledge to the church by teaching Sunday School, ESL classes, and brought the love of Christ through Caring Hearts. Carol volunteered her time at Trinity Hospital, was an advocate for children in her community as a guardian ad litem She also worked with the homeless and domestic violent shelters.
Carole is survived by her sisters; Virginia(Bob) of New Port Richey FL, Kristel(Jerry) of Winter Haven FL, and her brother Chris(Gloria) of Martinsville IN, and sister in law; Joan Henry of Port Richey, FL.
She is survived by her 6 children; Jeff Heiser(April) of Merritt Island FL, Chris Heiser(Marj) of Old Town FL, Joan Stackpoole(Raymond) of Murphy NC, Lorraine Ogelvie(Tony) of Smyrna TN, Carolyn Lopez(companion-Steve Cooley) of South Pasadena FL, and Kathi Royal(Kent) of Valrico, FL.
13 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
A funeral viewing will be held Tuesday August 1, 2023 from 10:00-12:00 at Dobies Funeral home located at 8825 Old County Rd 54, New Port Richey. A Funeral Mass will follow at 1:00pm at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 5340 High St, New Port Richey. Lunch to follow at the Church.

Kathy, Carolyn and Chris…I’m so sorry to hear of the passing of your mother. I worked with her for many years and she was an amazing underwriter. She taught me so much and I’ll never forget that. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

I’m sad to hear about the passing of my second cousin Carole and I’m very sorry for your loss! It was great meeting many of her family members when my mother, Roberta, and I visited in 2009. We had a wonderful trip! I enjoyed receiving Christmas cards from Carole each year since then. Carole and her son Jeff were instrumental in helping me, my brother Greg, and my cousins connect with another family member, Dawn, through Ancestry.com back in 2019. I’m disappointed that I was sick and unable to visit Carole when I was in Florida last year. I know how difficult it is to lose a mother and grandmother. My thoughts are with you all! 😘
