Donald Charles Lewis was born on April 12th, 1936, in Montclair, New Jersey, to Harold Burton and Evelyn Hayes. Donald’s mother met and married Albert Lewis whom became his adopted father. Donald met and married Mae Sutton and they had three children in which they all live in Florida. He also has four more children that reside in other states.

Donald is survived by one sister Sylvia Price; seven adult children Timothy Lewis, Tracey Lewis Faulk, Rachel Lewis, Tawanna Watkins, Tanya Watkins, Donald Watkins, and Andrew Watkins; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Donald had several occupations; however, bartending and managing at Julius Liquor Store is where he retired. Donald was a very humble, good spirited, and well loved individual. He loved to be around family and friends. Donald was active in a senior day program where he attended 3-4 days out the week. At the program, he would play different games but BINGO was his favorite. He bragged about how many times he’d win and all the prizes that he’d gain.

During Donald’s free time, he loved crossword scratch off’s and winning. His favorite TV shows to watch were Cowboys, Blue Blood, and different suspense movies. Donald also never missed his favorite Sunday church service.

Donald passed away in a hospice care facility in Palm Harbor on August 6th, 2023 after a brief illness and will be dearly missed.
