Brian Joseph Vayre, age 68, of Holiday, FL (formerly of Bay City, MI), a simple and private man full of resilience, optimism, and humor, left this world on August 14, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on May 10, 1955, the second of ten children to James and Mary (Foley) Vayre.  Brian was a humble man and found joy in family, his classic Chevy truck and his dog Rocky, who displayed unwavering loyalty up to and through his passing.

Brian attended St. Joseph Elementary School and graduated from Bay City Central High School in 1973, where he played football.  After high school, Brian attended Michigan State University where he studied Architectural Landscape Design. In the 1980’s, Brian moved to Florida where he embraced the Floridian lifestyle and a place, he called home.

Brian is survived by his 2 sons; Jason (Flavia Soto) Vayre and Ryan (Logan) Vayre; 3 grandchildren; Lucia, Nicola and Harper; 7 siblings; Michelle Vayre, Paula Litz, Steve (Sherri) Vayre, Jon (Therese) Vayre, Lisa Vayre, Danielle (Jim Huset) Vayre, Vanessa (Dave) Ulmer; many nieces and nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Lynette Vayre and Jenee (Bob) Herbolsheimer-McKenzie, nephew AJ Herbolsheimer, niece Danielle Ulmer and brother-in-law’s David Litz and Royce Herbolsheimer.

As we bid farewell to Brian, we remember his journey of life and the testament to the power of perseverance, indomitable human spirit, and the inspiring story of resilience.  There is no more pain and suffering but endless serenity and peace.
