Master Amor Angeles Sr., has lived a life full of love and honor. Amor was a faithful Man of God and in the early afternoon, on Wednesday September 13, 2023, at age 54, Amor was called home. The Heavens opened up for their strongest soldier and Amor was met with open arms by his Mother in Law Nanay, his best friend Alfred and his Brother in Law Will who were all called home before him. Amor is survived by his loving wife of 30 years Vilma, his three incredible children Amor Jr. (AJ), Anthony, and Aileen, his younger sister Therese, his two nephews Jonathan and Jayce, and his mother Lina.
Amor was born and lived the life of a warrior. In his early career, Amor dutifully served his country as a strong and proud United States Marine before turning his attention to raising a family and building a community. A man of humble beginnings, Amor was dedicated to achieving his own American Dream. He worked tirelessly and was entrusted a karate studio by his Grand Master, became a 5th Degree Black Belt and supported and trained his wife, children, and nephew to become Black Belts. Over 20 years as Master Amor Angeles, he was a fundamental member of the community and was responsible for the training and mentorship of countless children and families.
Despite his commitments to his community and the Karate Studio, Amor had a way of making every single person in his world feel as if they had all of him all of the time. Amor loved larger than life and still always had room for more. Amor was a Superman to his family and all who knew him, never hesitating to lend a helping hand or listening ear. Amor was so committed to his family as a provider and nurturer. While caring for his wife and three young children, he took on the responsibility of raising his younger sister who was 14 yrs old at the time. When Amor was part of the equation, even the impossible was possible. Over the years, Amor was able to build the life of his dreams, selflessly raising his family, encouraging and supporting his community, and never missing an opportunity to show off his talents as a Grill Master.
Amor was inspiring, thoughtful, and always made everyone around him want to be the best version of themselves. In his final hours, Amor was grinning ear to ear and jamming out to music with his oldest son Amor Jr. and reminding his family, as he often did, just how much he loved them. His final text to his family read, “I Love Yous Fam 😁“. Although it may have been time for Amor to meet his Heavenly Father, his memory will readily live on through all of those he loved.
