Gina Marie Sessa, 39, of New Port Richey FL passed away on January 10th 2019 at North Bay Hospital, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Gina was born in Brooklyn NY on August 5th, 1979 to Robert and Virginia (Casuccio) Sessa. She was married June 21st 2003 to Christiaan Grove at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in New Port Richey FL. Gina earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts (2003) and a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science (2015) from the University of South Florida. Gina had a great passion for collecting 80’s toys, organizing photos and ancestry. Additionally she was the family archivist. Gina also loved everything Disney, whether it was staying at the resorts, admiring the works of Mary Blair, or collecting pins; Gina was always all in for “18 hours of magicâ€.
Gina brought light and sparkle into the lives of many friends through social media. Always available to check up on friends when they needed it most, she inspired deep and lasting devotion from countless friends and family.
Gina is survived by her devoted husband Christiaan Grove, energetic son Riley Grove, supportive mother Virginia Sessa, and loving father Robert Sessa. She is also survived by nurturing brother Robert Sessa Jr, and thoughtful sister Corinne George as well as loving extended family and friends, who all miss her dearly.
Special thanks to the medical staff of Moffitt Cancer Center, especially Dr. Michael Fradley, Florida Cancer Specialists, Dr. David Wenk and Patricia Rogers, and the entire ICU Staff at North Bay Hospital. It is directly due to your care and diligence that Gina was able to fight against Multiple Myeloma and Amyloidosis so hard for so long. Every extra day we had with her is thanks to you, so Thank You!

Since I met Gina at Mittye P. Locke Elementary she was always so sweet. Over the years Gina and I would chat on FB. I even bought a Teddy Ruxpin from her when she was selling her thrift finds. Gina always had this way of seeing the positive in everything around her. My prayers have been with you all. Love you Gina â¤ï¸
