Maryellen Wansor

November 10, 1958~October 19, 2023

Maryellen Wansor, of Lutz, Florida, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and accomplished hairdresser, passed away surrounded by her family on October 19th, 2023. She was born in Glen Cove, New York, on November 10th, 1958. She had a love for decorating, gardening, sewing, singing, music, shopping and fashion.

Maryellen’s life was a beautiful tapestry of love and laughter. She cherished her role as a mother to Morgan and Heather and grandmother to Corbin and Adrian. She was a loving sister to Diane and Gerard. Maryellen attended Ultissima Beauty Institute, where she learned the skills to become a talented hairstylist. Her 30+ years career as a hairstylist brought joy and confidence to countless clients over the years.

Her light illuminated every room she entered, making her truly special. She created magic in even the simplest moments of life. Whether that be a picnic in front of her house with chick-fil-a or a simple shopping trip to target, she made everything special. Holidays were always enchanting because of her; her love and thoughtfulness knew no bounds.

Maryellen’s love for fashion was evident, as she could spend hours in stores with her sister selecting outfits. Her talent for putting together outfits extended to her daughter’s wardrobe as well.

Maryellen’s warm heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering love for her family and friends will be remembered forever. She had an innate ability to make everyone feel special, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Maryellen fought an incredible battle, displaying unmatched bravery and strength. There’s no doubt that heaven welcomed a beautiful angel on the morning of October 19th, 2023. She is now singing and dancing with the angels, swimming in the oceans of heaven, and reunited with her parents Rosemarie and John.

A Celebration of Life for Maryellen will be held from 3pm-6pm on November 10th, 2023 at Champion’s Club Clubhouse 10132 Robert Trent Jones Pkwy Trinity, Florida 34655. Dress in what Maryellen would approve of.

Maryellen’s legacy is one of love, compassion, and the beauty she brought into the lives of those around her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Rest in peace, dear Maryellen. Your light will continue to shine in our hearts.

My wonderful sweet little Lady friend, I am as crushed as all of those who loved you …still in disbelief that you left us in this life so suddenly…the hurt is raw and numbing…The only thing keeping me together is the conversations we had in the kitchen about our God Jesus Christ and his plan for us…ThankYou for adding a womens to the house and for cooking so many pots of great soup….I promise to keep watering your garden…I will miss seeing what a superb grandmother you were around the house to Corbin…but I will keep the optimism and faith of seeing you again at the rapture of saints and then going into eternity together with Jesus …

Your friend
Reuben

Aunt Mary I remember going to your house almost everyday after school with Jayden and it was always so fun when we’d go shopping even for the most random stuff and your house was like another home for me. And even when we’d go to your hair salon and get our hair done sometimes was the best. You will always be in my heart and I pray for your family during this time. You were such a light of sunshine and you will be dearly missed but never ever forgotten.
