Ruth M. Harden, a loving mother and grandmother, joined her husband and family when she passed away on Wednesday, November 29th, 2023, quietly from cancer. She was able to spend the past few months surrounded by her children and friends. She is survived by her sons Mark Harden (Karen Carter) and David Harden (Launi Harden); her daughter Jean Dina (John Dina); her grandchildren Mark Harden (Amy Harden), Michelle Boutwell (Jeff Boutwell), and Justin Harden; and her great-grandchildren Drew and Avery Harden and Brenden, Ansley, and Benjamin Boutwell.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Anna Haders; her husband Leslie Clyde Harden; daughter Leslie Ann Harden; sister Lois Kay; and brothers Richard Haders and James (Jim) Haders. She loved spending time with her extended family as well.
Ruth was very sociable and enjoyed spending time with her many friends. She also loved playing cards and bingo at her community clubhouse. Ruth did charity work for stroke victims and was active in the Catholic Church. She worked as a manager at the J and L Steel Workers Credit Union in Cleveland, Ohio.
The family would like to give special thanks to Home Instead and HPH Hospice for being so kind and caring to our mom in her time of need.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St Jude’s or hospice.
The service will be held Saturday, Dec 2, 2023 at 1:00 pm, Dobies Funeral Home, 4910 Bartelt Road, Holiday, Florida 34690.

Ruth was such a kind person who always had a smile on her face. Sue was so caring when my parents went through all their health problems. She will be missed. Sending her family love and prayers.

Mark, Dave, Jean and Family,
Please accept our deepest sympathy on your Mom’s passing. She was a wonderful lady and we were truly blessed to have known her. We have many fond memories of Christmas evenings at the house on Bucyrus. Your parents were so kind to always have us over as Mom and Dad had no family in Cleveland. We always felt like we were part of your family then and we still do. While we are saddened by her passing we know there is some really awesome pinocle game going on in Heaven with the gang! May she rest in peace! Hugs to you all and know that you are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Love you guys!

Prayers to you as you say farewell to your dear Mother, Ruth. I remember her fondly as a lady filled with much joy and love. So remember her too at OLGC Credit Union, when I went there.

Mark, Dave, Jean and Family,
Prayers and deepest sympathy are extended to you all. I had the privilege and blessing to bring the Holy Eucharist to your Mom for several years and it was something I sincerely welcomed. We always enjoyed a short chat and shared those quiet, prayerful moments together. I will miss my Friday morning visits and seeing Ruth standing at the door waving good bye to me. She stoically suffered pain and loss in her life and it is comforting to know she is enjoying her eternal reward .
