Spencer R. Heller

April 18, 1947~December 28, 2023

Spencer Robert Heller, born on April 18, 1947, to Norma Marks Heller and Emmanuel (Sonny) Heller, passed peacefully after a recent illness that his body simply could not conquer on December 28, 2023. He served in the United States Navy on the USS Thor from August 29, 1967 – May 13, 1970 as Rank E4. He took great pride in serving his country and made treasured lifelong friendships. He worked side by side with his father at the Woodbridge Barrel Factory and was an entrepreneur thereafter. He very much enjoyed worshiping at The Hudson Church of God where he found his home in faith. Spencer was a very kind soul to everyone he met, loved writing and story-telling, spending time talking and visiting with family, bragging about his children and grandchildren. He loved adventure, animals, music, dancing, classic cars and reminiscing about his youth. He is predeceased by his parents Norma and Sonny Heller; his brother Edward Heller; his grandmother Jenny Grodensky; his grandmother Raye Marks. He leaves behind his sister Denise (Heller) Bell and her husband Steve Bell; his sister-in-law Janice Heller; his daughter Rayna (Heller) Scotto-D’Aniello; his son Adam Heller; his grandchildren Jerry S. D’Aniello and Michael S. D’Aniello; his nephew Ross Merlino; and his niece Shanti Heller. A visitation will be held at the Hudson Church of God at 2:00 pm on January 3, 2024, with a service to follow at 3:00 pm. Everyone is welcome to attend as he is laid to rest with military honors at the Florida National Cemetery on Thursday January 4th, 2024 at 1:30pm at 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, FL.
