Anthony Nicholas Becker (April 30, 1929 – December 30, 2023)

Anthony Nicholas Becker, 94, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2023, with his four children at his bedside. Loving father to Lynn, Carol, Tom, Anthony, Sue Anne, and Nancy as well as 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Tony was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Lorraine. Together, they built a close-knit family who are able to find the humor in any situation.

He loved spending time with all of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was admired by everyone he met.

Tony was a builder at heart and found his peace in his meticulous woodworking. His dreams often inspired his projects, and he’d excitedly share his next idea with his family at the breakfast table, but only after he had added exactly one shot glass of creamer to his coffee. Lorraine quickly learned to empty the sawdust from his pockets before doing laundry.

He worked three jobs to support his family, and knew what was important in life. He loved going to the beach with Lorraine, and their Wednesday night Happy Hours. His favorite restaurant was Red Lobster, and he always made sure to have spice drops in his pocket for the grandkids.

In more recent years, Tony and his son Anthony would go “trashing” like the American Pickers. Ever the efficiency expert, Tony purchased headlamps so they were free to pick with both hands and thus improve their haul.

He served his country during the Korean War and was a lifelong Miami Dolphins fan. Even in his final days, he never lost his amazing sense of humor, which is probably why no one ever has a bad thing to say about him.

We will miss you Daddy, but we know you’re with Mommy, Sue Anne, Carol, and Grandma now. Try to keep it down up there!

I remember so well how your dad was always working on some project. You couldn’t help but feel good around him, he was always laughing. I remember he and your mom telling us about all of your fun holiday competitions. You all have some great memories. He did a lot of work at my parents house for which we had to get permits for in order to sell after my mom past LOL. My condolences to all of you.
