Peter N. Hains, age 80, passed away peacefully at home on February 26^th at 8:39 p.m. with his wife and daughter at his bedside.

Pete was predeceased by his mother Rita Couture of Boynton Beach, Florida, his father Nelson Hains of Springfield, Massachusetts, as well as his eldest daughter Pamela Hains Spratling of Hudson.

He is survived by his beloved wife Carolyn; two daughters Vicki Hains Shoun and husband Richard of New Port Richey as well as Wendy Hains Saldana of Hudson; brother Glen Magaldi and wife Maggie of Boynton Beach; sister Toni Cote and husband Robert of Coventry, CT; seven grandchildren Trevor Shoun and wife Cheyenne of Hudson, Taylor Folkersen and husband Ben of Hudson, Megan Mancini and husband Michael of Hudson, Matthew Shoun and wife Alexis of Monterey CA, Spencer Shoun of Hudson, Nicholas Moody of Hudson, as well as Shane Moody of Trinity; Six great-grandchildren Layla Folkersen, Macy Beck, Waylon, Harrison and Adeline Shoun, and Leo Mancini.

Born in Windsor, Connecticut, Pete moved to North Miami, at age 10. At age 22, he married the love of his life, Carolyn. The family subsequently moved to Hudson after a year in Spring Hill in 1976.

Pete distinguished himself as an aluminum contractor and was self-employed. He excelled as a craftsman in handyman work.

Pete’s hobbies included old cars of which he owned many over the years, horsemanship, bowling, fishing, and travel. But most of all loved spending time with his family. This remarkable man will be surely missed by those who knew him well.
