Donald E. Shellabarger, 91, of Port Richey, Florida, passed away on February 28th, 2024. Beloved husband of Elizabeth (preceded in death); father of Kathy, Lori, Mark, Amy, Tim, and Jon; brother of Marcia and Marge; grandfather and uncle of many. Dad always found time to show us fun times on the weekend after working all week: roasting hot dogs in the woods, building snow forts, etc. I can remember several times when a favorite song came on and he would grab Mom’s arms and dance around the room. Dad and Mom, you are now together and we miss and love you both.

I will always remember the fun times with my Uncle Don. He and my Dad loved each other so much and they also argued alot. They each had to have the last word. I will miss him so much and I believe he’s now with his sweet wife, his parents and hulis brother. Love you always Uncle Don.

Uncle Don was a big presence and always made family a priority. Whether playing cards, softball, or croquet it was an intense and competitive type of fun that we would look forward to. He was someone I wanted to impress and gain his praise. He will be missed greatly !!! … With his passing memories and reflections of growing up with Mammaw, Pappaw, Aunt Elizabeth, Aunt Pat, and Uncle Fred (as well as Mom and Aunt Marge) have increased dramatically. They remind me of just how special each of them were, how special they made my childhood, and how their presence in my life influenced me as an adult… With great respect I thank them for the love and concern they showed me, and for the person they’ve helped me become. Uncle Don also accepted and befriended my wife Linda as if she were one of his own. Rest in peace dear uncle. Your life was well spent and is now complete !!!
