Sharon L. Osborn, of Holiday, Florida, AKA Shorty, Sharon Wood, and Sharon Latham, stepped into eternity in the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, in Tuesday May 14th, 2024, after a long battle with cancer & recent Sepsis, at Advent Health Hospital North Pinellas, Tarpon Springs, Florida.

She is loved, Missed, and Celebrated by a myriad of Family, Extended Family, Friends and Church Families from FL to CA to HI to IA, IL, NY, MO, WV, NC, OK, CO, NM, TX, OR & Canada

Born Nov, 28,1940 in Ft. Desmoins, IA, moved to Oxnard, CA in 1952, then moved to Seminole, and settled in St. Petersburg, Florida in 1977.

She is pre-deceased by her first Husband Charles (Gene) Wood, formerly from MS; second Husband Michael Joseph Osborn from NY; First  & last love Loren Burch Sr; All four Grandparents Borg and Latham; well as her nephew Christopher Paul Latham; Son in Law Eddie McGowen.

She was a regular attendee to Holiday Bible Church in Holiday, Florida, for the last 5 years.  She also previously attended Azalea Baptist and was a long-time member of  and baptized at First Baptist Church of Indian Rocks,  Largo, Florida.

She also had 30 Plus grandchildren , great grand Children and GG grand children. Cousins Nieces and Nephews all over the USA.

Sharon may have been called “” but she was mighty!

She loved fiercely, lived honestly, stood up for what she believed was right, and lived out her FAITH each day.

Tho’ almost all of her grandchildren lived in other states, she always thought about them, loved them, kept every picture of them, and when she could, she sent them gifts.

It was important to her that every month she posted to the best of her ability, everyone’s birthday on Facebook. She kept it up even after she got the cancer diagnosis.

No one was a stranger, she had love for everyone, even people she just met. In fact, she made several good Facebook friends all over the world and each morning she would wake up and check in on every single one of them, every morning, before she did anything else. I’m sure they miss her morning check-ins.

Some of her favorite shows were Phantom of the Opera, Star Wars, The Mandalorian, and Grogu. Her last Birthday Party was Mandalorian themed.

She had a love of good food with good friends and family, always had to have dessert; loved summer and despised winter; she loved the water, swimming pool, ocean, or on a boat, she was in her happy place; going to a theater to watch a movie; hanging out at a park picnic, or beach cookout. She wasn’t a sports fan but she enjoyed attending the Threshers games with fireworks. She loved all animals, especially dogs, horses and cats. She enjoyed driving her convertible with the top down wind in her hair. It brought her so much pleasure.

Please make plans to attend her Celebration Of Life on June 1st, 2024, at Holiday Bible Church located at 4807 Mile Stretch Rd, Holiday, Florida, 34690. 1pm Reception, Service at 2pm, and dinner to follow in the fellowship hall.

Aunt Sharon was one of the few people who would acknowledge anything you pointed out to her. For our honeymoon back in 2018, my husband Julio (Caesar) & I decided to surprise her on going to Florida to visit and we knew her birthday was coming up as well so we stayed to include that in our trip. I wish we would’ve stayed longer !! 😩. I had my 3 year old son Alberto in 2020 &’ I really wanted Sharon to meet him when he was old enough to fly and not be a problem but now when he’s older he can look up at the sky and wave to her , along with his great-uncle Chris standing right by her side. I’m glad I got to see her when she and Julie came out to California to visit while seeing my grandpa during his recovery. I miss you so much Aunt Sharon. You have NO idea how much of an impact you made on our family. I wish you were still here, but God had His own plan for you & now you’re no longer suffering.. You get to reunite & continue your spiritual life with great-grandma Marguerite & great-grandpa Paul aka “Bampo” . My husband Julio (Caesar), Sharon’s nephew in-law, sends his condolences to those in Florida who grieve for Sharon’s passing. Aunt Sharon, I just wanted to say one thing – I DID IT ‼️. I graduated from Oxnard College with my Associates Degree in Early Childhood Studies 🧑‍🎓. I REALLY wish you could’ve seen me walk that line, but I know you were watching me from up above. I love you endlessly; we all do 🌹.
