I was deeply saddened to hear of Karen’s passing. She was my best friend and I was looking forward to her coming to Michigan this summer. I am consoled by all the happy times I spent with her crafting and shopping for our kids for Christmas and wrapping gifts together. We co-lead our daughters Girl Scout troop and did many other things together. She was more like a sister and Aunt to my family and we are all going to miss her.

I am so sorry for your loss. My heart is so broken, I still can’t believe she’s gone.
Karen had a heart as big as Texas, she would do anything for you. I am so thankful that we have all the amazing memories. I would encourage you guys to hold onto those, talk about them. Also love on each other fiercely like she loved. I pictured her walking into heaven, and all the people that were there to greet her. I have no idea what it’s gonna be like when we walk through those gates, I know the first one we want to see is Jesus and for karen I know that that was true. My hope is that her mom, Becky, Phil, and Adeline all greeted her too.
Life without Karen will never be the same. She will be so dearly missed. I am so thankful that God allowed our paths cross, and that we were able to do life together for so many years.
I love you guys, you’re in my prayers give yourself some grace as you walk through this process.

I am so sorry for your loss. Sending prayers to her family and all who loved her. She was one of my best friends in high school, and godmother to my son. She was always so kind and always had a smile on her face. Even though we haven’t seen each other in a long time, keeping in touch through Facebook, felt like we did still connect in some way. She will be greatly missed. 💔

I was very sad when I heard that Karen died. We were friends through South Lyon schools, where our kids both attended, as well as through Oak Pointe church. I will remember Karen’s beautiful smile and her fierce love of her family. We are praying for you all as you walk this journey of grief. Our hope, because of Jesus, is that one day we will see her again in Heaven.
Much love in Christ,

Mrs. Karen Raabis was a mother to so many of us. She was my Girl Scout leader for many years along side of so many wonderful friends. Mrs. Raabis was always prepared with her carfting hand and supplies that filled our lives with joy, laughter, and a home away from home experience. I will always be thankful for the hard work she put into us girls, always opening her doors with a smile. Even taking us to camp year after year. I am so deeply saddened for your family’s loss, but I know her love isn’t going anywhere! She lives within all of us in her smile and laughter. God Bless your family through this grieving process and know The Lord is close to the broken hearted. She will always and forever be loved and missed.
