Lisbeth Pierce-LaPorte, age 83, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2024, surrounded by her family at the Martiere Hospice Care Center, New Port Richey, Florida.  She was born on September 10, 1941 in Wakefield, Rhode Island.  She was the daughter of the late John S and Hilda (Gonsalves) Reposa.  Her parents were local farmers and she grew up on that farm located on Saugatucket Rd.  Family members still own the property.

She was predeceased by her husband, William LaPorte; as well as her siblings, Arthur, Emery, Hilda, Edith, Alice, and Helen.

Lisbeth is survived by her loving Partner of 22 years, Carlos Mancil; her children, Christopher Wells Pierce and his wife Sarah and Nathan Wells Pierce and his wife Melissa.

Liz had 6 grand children whom she adored and loved so very much, Tyler, Hunter, Sterling, Aiden, Declan and Hannah.

Lisbeth graduated from South Kingstown High School and went on to study at the University of Rhode Island. She worked for the Narragansett and South Kingstown, RI Police Departments.  She was presented with the National Valor Award for her work as a dispatcher.  She worked as a tour bus guide and worked in real estate. Her last job was being a Nanny, which she loved doing, she thought it was extremely rewarding to take care of children.

When her boys were young, she was the den mother for the Cub Scouts and was a troop leader with the Boy Scouts.  She loved being with her boys.

She was a wonderful mother and provided well for her family.

Lisbeth has a huge family which includes many nieces and nephews.  She always kept in touch with everybody and was always available if any of them needed her for anything.

Outside of work, Liz was the Queen of her Castle, she loved her home in Gulf Harbor, Florida. She was active within her church community.  She enjoyed RV traveling, was a Hot Air Balloon enthusiast, loved riding motorcycles and spending time with her friends and family.

Liz was a devoted Elvis Presley fan and she said one day she hoped she could dance with him. We hope they get to share that dance.

Liz will be remembered for her kind heart, her sharp wit, and his unwavering devotion to her family.

Funeral Services will be private.

If you would like to make a donation in her name, donations can be made to the St Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis Tennessee.

Liz was bad ass– pure and simple. It was an honor to know her. She loved fiercely and was incredibly protective of those she cared about. Liz– hope you meet up with my mom and dad in Heaven and have a cocktail and laugh at our expense.

Please accept our condolences Chris, Nate, and family. The last time we saw each other our band was playing at Dutch Inn Pt Judith. Your Mom and Bill stopped in and we caught up a little bit between sets. She looked great! Caught back up on Facebook
Last 10yrs pretty regularly. I do remember you and Nate were her everything! Have seen beautiful pictures with the grandchildren who saw her as being pretty cool! Sending love and prayers to you all.

That photo was taken as you gathered your strength to keep attorneys appointment. You hurt so much but you looked so good.
