Nancy Faith Hooker Scott, born December 2, 1939, in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and remarkable achievements. She was the cherished daughter of George Thomas Hooker and Lottie Inez Wolfe.

Nancy’s early years were spent in Henlawson, West Virginia, under the care of her beloved grandparents, Robert and Ella Hooker. The warmth and affection she received during these formative years left an indelible mark on her heart. At the age of 8, she moved to Bethesda, Maryland, where she was raised by her mother and stepfather, Herbert Shannon, and later Edwin Heeger. Nancy graduated from Bethesda Chevy Chase High School in 1957, marking the beginning of a life filled with diverse experiences and accomplishments.

In 1958, Nancy married Edward Lewis Huntt, with whom she had three children: Martye Haugstad, Micki Eubanks, and Michael Huntt. She later married John William Kegel, and together they welcomed a daughter, January DeLeon. Her third marriage was to John Milton Scott, who also preceded her in death. Her career evolved further as she entered the sales field at Carpet Island in Port Richey, where she excelled as a flooring salesperson for new construction builders. Nancy’s remarkable talent and dedication led her to manage the store, culminating in a distinguished career where she achieved over a million dollars in flooring sales in her final years.
