The most wonderful husband, father, brother, grandpa and friend, Christopher J. Servoss, age 66, passed away peacefully August 15, 2024. He was born in Williamsport, PA. Shelli and the Servoss boys and families

I could go on and on and on with a message from my heart, but I will not do that. I met Chris 49 years ago (seems impossible) during our first week at East Carolina University, Jones Dormitory, in Greenville, NC. He was a fine Yankee that aspired to be a “good ole boy” in the South. And he wanted to blend and he did a damn good job. We were friends all 4 years never more than 2 doors apart and from then on through graduation. We made an agreement to stay in touch. And we did and for that I will be eternally grateful.

Post ECU years, I could pick up the phone (early on with land lines) and call him and after just a minute or two catch up. It was like we had never missed a day and we were still in the dorm at ECU. He was a great friend. I saw him in Wilson NC in August 2023 and spent 1/2 day together. Fantastic. We had hoped to meet again this year in the baseball playoff, it did not turn out to be.

My thoughts are with all of you. Chris was a great person and excellent teacher not to take life too seriously. I wish I could learn 100% by the examples he set

He was an usher in my wedding in 1986. He had to rush back to Florida for the birth of Christopher. And then our next 2 boys each were close to the same age. We spent a three day weekend at the beach in NC about 97 or 98. 5 young boys. It seemed like every time we turned around someone wanted a sandwich.

Chris was always positive and I will forever hear him singing “Looking down the mountain on Williamsport P A”.

My sympathy to all of you.
