Lance John Demeter, 80, passed away August 24, 2024. He was born in Chicago, the only son of the late John Alexander and Marcella (Jasieniecka) Demeter. In 1983, he moved to Florida with his wife, Barbara (Weinberger), and their four children. Throughout his life, Lance owned or worked for several home construction companies before retiring at 63. A wise-cracking adventurer, Lance loved the thrill of motorcycle riding, roller coasters, boating, fishing, and hunting. He traveled throughout the United States and the Caribbean islands with his wife, to whom he was happily married for 59 years. A favorite memory was their 40th anniversary celebration in Hawaii. Lance is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughter, Michelle Demeter; sons Jeffrey, Lance, Jr., and John Demeter; grandsons Ty, Brannan, and Leif Demeter; and great-granddaughter Sage Demeter.
