Mary “Ingrid ” Albert (Olsen), 71, of New Port Richey, Florida, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of April 11, 2019.
Born to George Olsen Jr. and Jewell Dean Olsen on July 28, 1947.
Our beloved Ingrid has left this world but not without first touching the lives and hearts of those that loved her dearly.
They say there are two types of people in this world, the dreamers and the doers…Ingrid was by all accounts a Dreamer, a quality she inherited from her father.
Easy to smile and laugh, Ingrid made it her mission to make others smile also!
As a loyal postal worker, she retired after 30 years of service where she did her best to bring joy to the people who showed up to mail their packages.
Ingrid will be remembered for her dedicated efforts to help young girls as a Girl Scout Leader with the Girl Scouts of America, as well as her hilarious antics behind the scenes, shared with her friends in what they fondly dubbed themselves,”The Duck Club”.
Most importantly Ingrid will be remembered as the bright star with a smile that could light-up your soul! And, so when a light so bright leaves us, it leaves a void that only she could fill.
Ingrid is survived by her loving mother, Jewell “Dean” Olsen. Her three siblings, Karin Wymer of McKinney Texas, Kimberlee Nichols of Lebanon Missouri and her little brother Timothy Olsen of Tampa. Though Ingrid never had children of her own she often thought of Timothy as a son, since he was much younger.
She leaves behind a slough of family and friends that loved and will miss her. Nieces and nephews include Chad Herndon, Jason Herrera, Kristen Perez, Michael Herrera, Nicole Olsen and Tyler Olsen.
May her light continue to shine in the hearts of all that she touched.
A Memorial Service will be held in her honor, to celebrate her life and our love for her.
