Catherine Anne Rosati (née Mullin), 77, of Bay Shore, NY, and Hudson, FL, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2024, in Florida.
Born on June 12, 1947, in Manhattan, NY, Cathy grew up in Lindenhurst, NY. She was a proud and devoted mother to her four children: Anthony Rosati, Michele (Greg) Laney, Rachel Rosati, and Jessica (Robert) ODonnell. She was also a beloved “Nannie” to her 13 grandchildren: Ryan (Crystal), Dominick (Kayla), A.J., Brendan, Sebastian, Evyn, Tristan, Alison, Lili, Colin, Hannah, Beau, and Brody; and two great-grandchildren: Alaina and Alex. Cathy was preceded in death by her loving parents, Patricia and Patrick Mullin.
In addition to her children, Cathy is survived by her siblings, Patrick (Arlene) Mullin, Jimmy (Mariann) Mullin, and Nancy (Lou) Calleja, as well as her former husband, Anthony Rosati, and her longtime companion, John Palumbi.
Cathy found joy in spending time with her family, playing games, completing puzzles, and working in her garden for hours on end. She had a remarkable mind for numbers and details, a sharp wit, and a wonderful sense of humor. An avid animal lover, Cathy gave a home to many dogs and cats over the years.
A memorial service celebrating Cathy’s life will be announced at a later date. Cathy will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her warm smile, gift for conversation, and storytelling will be remembered fondly, but her legacy as a strong, intelligent, and funny woman will live on in the hearts of her loved ones.
Remember me with smiles and laughter, for that is how I will remember you all. If you can only remember me with tears, then don’t remember me at all. –Laura Ingalls Wilder

I know there is a spot reserved for you up in heaven as your existence was a gift from the angels and the reason this long line of family exist. My grandmother made me who I am today, and she will continue to influence the person I become tomorrow. Every day of my life, her legacy and memories will live on through me. I know she is with me in my heart, but I want her by my side and unfortunately life is short. I miss my Nanny and I forever will. I Love you Nanny and I always will. You have done so much for this family, you have earned the right to rest in peace. 💔
