With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ronald Blaine Stafford, lovingly known as Ronnie, who left us on Friday, September 13, 2024. Born on December 26, 1966, Ronnie was a beloved husband, father, grandfather (Papa), brother, and friend who deeply cherished his family and the countless friendships he made along the way.
Ronnie’s greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his loving husband, David; his son, Blaine Stafford; his daughter, Chelsea Hinson, and her husband, Paul Hinson; and his adored grandchildren, Lane, Ella, and Ollie. He is also survived by his brother, Michael Lucky. Ronnie treasured his extended family, including Debbie Frame, Janet and Curtis Lang, along with their children Wendy and Amber. He cherished his many friends, from Jacksonville and Orange Park to the new friends he made after moving to the west coast of Florida. He had a special bond with James Thomas, whom he held close to his heart. And not to forget his many fur babies, who brought him so much happiness!
Ronnie was preceded in death by his father, George Stafford; his mother, Hazel Segar; and his brothers, Ricky, Robert, and Randy. He is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.
While Ronnie had never ventured outside the continental United States for much of his life, he created cherished memories during his travels to Cancun, Cozumel, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. These adventures, filled with laughter and unforgettable moments—from his excitement at the idea of spending the night on a Virgin Island to the unexpected experience of being stranded due to volcanic ash—were some of the highlights of his life.
Ronnie was a handful, full of life, mischief, and love, and he will always hold a special place in our hearts. His many friends—too numerous to name, but each one deeply valued—know just how much they meant to him.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Though gone too soon, Ronnie’s spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
