Gaylen B. Wester, a cherished husband, father, grandfather and friend passed away suddenly on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at the age of 70 years old in Tarpon Springs, FL. Born October 31, 1954 in Ladysmith, WI. Gaylen graduated from Bruce High School, Bruce, WI in 1972.
Gaylen is survived by his loving family that includes his wife Debbie, his daughters Kim (Lee) Echtle, Theresa (Drew) Ewing, Steph (Cody) Flemming-Berek and his sons Shaun Fischer and Corey Wester. His loving grandchildren Lucas, Kloey, Olivia, Kaylee, Gavin and many nieces and nephews. Brothers Gary (Valerie) Wester, Kevin (Brenda) Wester, Alan (Pat) Wester, Chuck (Linda) Wester and Brad Wester. Sisters Denise (Lou) Anderson, Melanie (Tom) Ruud and many nieces and nephews and his best buddy Otis. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents Clair and Lyilla Wester.
An avid Green Bay Packers fan and sports enthusiast, Gaylen’s passion for the Packers, watching football games and his fierce competitiveness was well-known among his friends and family.
Gaylen’s sense of humor was legendary and he often was the life of the party and dancing was usually involved.
A man built with an undeniable work ethic. His hard work created A&W Tool, Inc. from his garage to today, a 12,000 square foot facility. He was very proud of his employees and he will always be grateful for them. His entire family is very proud of what he accomplished.
As we remember Gaylen, we celebrate the life of a man who has touched the hearts of many. His laughter, warmth and love will live on in the memories of those who were fortunate enough to know him. Gaylen Wester’s life was a beautiful journey that left a trail of joy, laughter and love — a journey that will continue to be cherished and celebrated by all who were part of it.
His spirt will forever be a guiding light for his family, a reminder to embrace life with open arms, to find humor in the everyday and to love without limits. Gaylen’s presence will be profoundly missed but the impact of his life will endure through the countless lives he touched.
