Susan Gale Shari, 73, of New Port Richey, Florida, passed away on February 1st, 2025.
Sue was born December 6, 1951 in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of Frederick Olen and Estelle (Gorman) Olen. Sue graduated from Bellport High School in 1969 and soon after attended Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. In 2018, she became credentialed as a minister with The Network of Ministries Int.
Sue married Gary Louis Shari on June 2, 1984 at Oakland Park Assembly of God, with Pastor Ed Russo officiating. They were married over 40 years, building a life together filled with love, faith and family. Sue was a devoted mother to her three children, Benjamin, Danae and Jared, and grandmother to her twelve grandchildren.
Prior to starting a family, Sue worked various jobs, including Lincoln Mercury Ft. Lauderdale and as a Production Coordinator at Life Publishers. Once having children, Sue committed to being a stay at home mom, homeschooling her children, and supporting Gary in their business, Balanced Air.
Sue loved bike riding, playing games with friends, and serving in church and ministry. Susan especially loved watching golf and tennis and fulfilled a lifelong dream to go to the US Open tennis championship in NY in September 2024. Susan loved traveling with Gary; together they visited many places, including Switzerland, Hawaii, Greece, and Israel, to name a few.
Sue was a member of Calvary Chapel Worship Center for 20 years where she served and attended faithfully. Sue served in prison ministry for many years, led church groups, and went on many missions trips.
Sue is survived by her husband Gary L. Shari; children Benjamin (Naomi) Shari, Danae (Kyle) Snitko and Jared Shari; twelve grandchildren, Jason Shari, Rudy Shari, Leticia Shari, Logan Shari, Noah Shari, Jeremiah Shari, Jason Snitko, Kyrie Snitko, Nathan Snitko, Juliette Snitko, Emmalee Snitko, and Amelia Snitko; as well as sister Judy Olen. Sue is preceded in death by her father, mother and brother, Fred Olen.
A celebration of life service will be held on February 15, 2025 at 1:00pm at Calvary Chapel Worship Center, 6825 Trouble Creek Rd, New Port Richey, FL 34653.

Sue will always be remembered for how she allowed Jesus to pour His love and Spirit through her . She’ll be missed.
