Never met a gentler soul. He’ll be missed by all. His race is done, and he lived his life with grace, style and pizazz! Rest easy Sol, see you on the other side. Love to Patty and the kids. Ο Θεός να τον αναπαύσει!

Solon was a dear long term friend of mine for 42 years. We met at St. Andrew’s Greek Orthodox church in Chicago in 1983 and were active with the Young Adult League youth group at St. Andrew’s. We became good friends who shared a spiritual fellowship in our faith ever since up until his passing. Why Solon had to be stricken with such a devastating illness, I can never know, but I do know he is at peace with the good Lord above, in a place where there’s no pain and suffering. Solon was a very caring, compassionate, giving friend who was always willing to lend an open ear and show that he understood and cared. He will be missed immensely, and I shall always cherish the good memories I have from our times together and from our talks on the phone..God bless his soul, and may his memory be eternal. He was the best friend anyone could ever have. Condolences and love to Patti and his two daughters, Cynthia and Julia, in this difficult time. I’ll see you again in heaven someday my dear friend Solon.

As one is shaped by life. Solon shaped life. Son of Theme and Francis, who in their own right were living angels on this earth. Solon followed in his parent’s footsteps by the somber grace in which he spoke and how he treated others. A true gentleman, diplomat and ambassador on how to live, enjoy and experience life. His tall, angular physique exemplified the essence of his grace and the beauty of his soul. “O death were is thy sting?” It is in each of us who did not have the opportunity to meet Solon, to meet grace on earth.
MEMORY ETERNAL – Solon, Theme & Francis
