April 10, 1931~January 20, 2025

Rose “Rosie” Frances (Ferrero) Roggenstein, 93, peacefully joined her husband, Paul; daughter, Gail and beloved cats, Ms. Kitty and Angel in Heaven at 12:01AM on January 20th, 2025 at The Waverly Assisted Living & Memory Care home in Trinity, FL. She was surrounded by her loving grandchildren at the time of her passing. Her online celebration of life will be held on her birthday, April 10th, 2025.

After graduating high school, Rosie worked as a switchboard operator. She was married to James Shannon for 17 years and had two children. In 1971, she met her true love and after an 11 year courtship married Paul Roggenstein in 1982, until the time of his death in 2006. Rosie’s personality and smile lit up the room.  She was the life of the party and a homemaking maven. She was an excellent cook, a true fashionista who made her own clothes and could often be found running around the house cleaning in her 5-inch heels. She had faith in Jesus and was always so thankful for how He watched over her.  She loved her family, traveling, arts, culture, movies, music, fashion, food, and had an impressive library of books. A true one-of-a-kind, Rosie is greatly treasured by all who knew her.

Rosie is survived by her son, Jamie (Becky) Shannon and their adopted children; son-in-law, Robert Alfini; six grandchildren: Shade (Jody) Reed and son; Zak (Shannon) Reed and their children; Jeremy (JD) LucasMorabito; Cobie (Jim) Lee; Joshua Shannon Sr. and children including two great-great grandchildren; and Jordan Shannon.

So sorry to hear about the loss of Rosie! She was such a sweet soul and I enjoyed my chats with her in our neighborhood. She was always dressed like she was going out on the town even if she was just walking to get her mail. She was so beautiful inside and out. My mom passed from dementia in 2016 and was only 70 so I understand the pain and pray for peace for all of the family know she is with the Lord now and she is safe! She was such a wonderful woman.
