David Charles Engdahl, 66, of Tarpon Springs, Florida, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2025. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, on December 13, 1958, he was the beloved son of Richard Charles Engdahl and Beatrice Engdahl.
Dave spent his childhood in Danbury, Connecticut, and later in Herndon, Virginia, where he graduated from Herndon High School. He went on to attend George Mason University from 1979 to 1981, earning a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Finance.
Following college, Dave worked in his father’s business, Synterials, which specialized in developing high-temperature ceramic coatings. He later founded several successful businesses in Virginia, including Complete Kitchens, before relocating to Florida. In Florida, Dave established Realty 1, a real estate brokerage, and Palm Harbor Kitchens, a family-run business where he worked alongside his wife, Barbara, and his adult children, Jarett and Emma.
Dave was a devoted husband, father, and brother who had a deep love for his family. He had a lifelong passion for the ocean, boating, and fishing. Among his proudest memories was landing a 13-foot Blue Marlin off the coast of Delaware—his greatest catch.
He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Engdahl; his children, Jarett Engdahl and Emma Engdahl; his siblings, Laura Engdahl, Susanne Flynn, and Richard Engdahl; and many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Beatrice Engdahl, and his sister, Karen Engdahl.

I was so sorry to hear of Dave’s passing. He was so helpful to us for his insight as to setting up our new kitchen.
He was a kind and generous man. We will all miss him.
Fondly Toni
