George passed peacefully on September 9, 2025 after his battle with leukemia. As a young man, George felt called to serve his country and joined the Air Force in 1962. It was during that time his daughter, Cindy, was born. After his time in the military, he moved back to West Mifflin, PA where he worked as a millwright for US Steel and added a son Micheal to his family. His family continued to grow after meeting Marlane and her four children. They have maintained a very loving relationship ever since. Eventually, George moved to Florida to pursue a career in aircraft repairs. He was overjoyed to become a grandfather to Amanda and Andrew and could be found attending countless sports or school events. Unable to enjoy a quiet retirement, he used his love of airplanes to work for TSA and volunteer at Tampa International Airport. A lifelong tinkerer, George could fix anything. He could always be found working on a project, whether it was changing the oil in his car or helping a neighbor with a broken appliance. George was a devout Catholic and spent many weekends as an usher at St. Thomas Aquinas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Helen (Kolcun) and George Gyduska; his sisters Dorothy (McCloskey) and Mildred (Bosak); as well as his son, Michael. He is survived by Marlane Gyduska, his daughter Cynthia (Morris), son-in-law Patrick Morris, grandchildren Amanda Morris-Hartough (Robert) and Andrew Morris (Chandler Day), and his stepchildren and step-grandchildren Joseph Rossi (Amy) Alec Reed and Jacob Rossi, Anne Marie Rossi, James Rossi (Meghan) and Franco Rossi, and Karen Rossi. Brother John Gyduska, sister Mary Pasternak (Ron). Please join his family to celebrate his life on September 27, 2025 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 8320 Old County Road 54, 34653 New Port Richey, Florida. Viewing begins at 10 AM, Mass at 11 AM, and luncheon to follow in the church hall. Burial on Monday September 29, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. Florida National Cemetery.

George was more than a stepdad to me he was a true father to me. He taught me so many things whether it was fixing things on cars fixing things in houses his favorite saying was everything is just simply Nuts and Bolts and that can go for anything in life. George I love you so much and I’m heartbroken over losing you you fought so hard this past year in 3 months and I am in complete admiration of you and the fight that you put in. You will forever be to me my dad and nothing will change that. I love you, I miss you everyday and I know you are watching over me and mom! ( Tootsie) fly high my dear George.

You fought a gallant battle George now please rest in piece. You have been part of the family for years and left many memories (like while the rest of us sat around our bar relaxing after a party but you were running the sweeper). We will miss you always.

My condolences to all who knew and loved George 🦋
Our families came together when Patrick and Cindy were wed. We spent holidays together in those early years.
George was a kind and good father to his children and grandchildren. He will be missed. 🦋
