Fotios “Foti” Kokalidis, beloved husband, father, stepfather, son, uncle, educator, and friend, passed away on his 51st birthday, November 18, 2025. Known affectionately as “Kirios Fotis” by his students and celebrated throughout the community as DJ Raw, he lived a life filled with passion, purpose, resilience, and deep love for his family and heritage.

Born in Athens, Greece, Foti carried his homeland in his heart throughout his life. His Greek spirit was woven into everything he did—from the way he taught, to the way he loved, to the pride he felt for his favorite soccer team, Olympiakos. Whether cheering during a big match or proudly wearing red and white, he brought unmatched passion and enthusiasm.

For 14 years, Foti devoted himself to teaching the Greek language. His classroom was filled with laughter, warmth, and connection. He passed down not only vocabulary and grammar, but culture, identity, and pride—leaving an unforgettable mark on every student whose life he touched.

Music was another gift he shared generously with the world. As DJ Raw, he brought people together with his talent, creativity, and unforgettable presence. His energy lit up every room, creating memories that will live on in the hearts of everyone who heard him play.

Throughout his 10-month battle with bile duct cancer, Foti showed extraordinary strength. He remained positive, optimistic, and full of faith—even on the hardest days. His courage was an inspiration to all who walked that journey with him.

Foti was married for 14 cherished years to his wife, Fotini Konstantinidis, who loved him deeply and stood by him through every joy and every hardship. Together, they built a beautiful family that was his greatest pride and happiness.

He was the devoted father of Dion (25), Mario (13), Kosta (12), and Zoi (11); the loving stepfather of Stelio (16); and a proud uncle to Kylee (15). He embraced each of them with unwavering love—guiding them, supporting them, and filling their lives with warmth, humor, and strength.

He is survived by his parents, Dimitrios “Taki” Kokkalidis and Zoi Kokkalidou, who adored him and supported him throughout his life. Their bond remained unbreakable and full of love until his final day.

Foti will be remembered for his kindness, his humor, his love of music, his passion for teaching, and his rare ability to make everyone around him feel valued and understood. His absence leaves a profound void, but his spirit lives on in his family, his students, his music, and the countless lives he touched.
