Mary Jo Bancroft, 98, of New Port Richey, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 20th, 2025.

Mary Jo was born in Shullsburg, Wisconsin, the daughter of John and Johanna (Morrissey) Alexander. She married William “Bill” Bancroft in 1977, and they shared many happy years together before his passing in 1991.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Johanna; her brother, Jack Alexander; sister-in-law, Pauline Alexander; and nephew, Mike Alexander.

Mary Jo is survived by her beloved nieces and nephews, whom she treated as her own: Linda Alexander, Mark (Kay) Alexander, Alan (Sally) Alexander, David Alexander, Jo (Jim) Malmgren, and Patti (Gary) McCauley, along with many great-nieces and nephews who brought her great joy.
