My cousin, “Jimmy” was one of the last of the 20 cousins in the family. Only John Engelhardt (1935) and myself, Dick Engelhardt (1935) remain. Jim was always popular and helpful. We were sorry to learn of his sudden passing. Dick Engelhardt, Fair Lawn, NJ. [email protected].

So sorry to hear of Jimmy’s passing. I have fond memories of visiting the farm in New York as a youngster, spending time with Uncle Henry, Aunt Daisy, and all their children. Jimmy was always the “fun one!” As life moved on, we lost contact for many years. However, I was lucky enough to reconnect briefly before his passing. I’ll cherish the nice note he sent me last year. To his family and many friends, I am truly sorry for your loss. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.

Rest in peace Uncle Jimmy. I will never forget you. All the times we walked down from my dad’s store down to the farm and you would always chase us home at supper time. And then when I moved to New Jersey to work and would come up to visit my parents on the weekend you and uncle Freddy would always give me vegetables to take back home. You’ll always look the same to me. You always were so friendly and jolly and always told me never eat a hot cookie Let it cool down first. But yet I would still offer them to you every time you came up to the store and you would say the same thing over and over Don’t eat a hot cookie. I hope you’re at peace now and out of pain and with Grandma and Grandpa and everybody else and my mom and my dad. Rest easy. Love Terry
