Today we say goodbye to a man who belonged to the sea, his country, but most of all his family. Dimitrios Loukataris was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Dimitri never knew the meaning of not loving life, he lived through the heart’s of the beautiful family he created. His loving wife, Anna, was always by his side no matter what struggles came their way. He was a devout Greek Orthodox Christian Who knew how to put the church first, and truly believed in the power of prayer. From a young age their 3 children John, Evangelia, and Peter knew the meaning of being a part of a loving family. Dimitri lives on in the hearts of all who knew him, he will never be forgotten. His smile was one that encompassed the meaning of warmth. Though life wasn’t always easy he always found his happiness in the ones he loved and back on the island of Kalymnos where he called home.
