Concetta ‘Kay” (Di Stefano) Rieber ,102, passed away peacefully on Sunday March, 1, 2026 and entered into her Heavenly Rest after a brief illness. Kay was born in Brooklyn, NY July 20, 1923. She was very proud of her 40+ year career as an insurance agent in New York City and Newburgh, NY. She raised her sons in Brooklyn, before moving upstate to the Hudson Valley in New Windsor, NY.  After retiring, Kay and Fred moved to Heritage Lakes in New Port Richey, FL.

She is predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Alfred, who passed away in 2009 and by her sister Mae and brothers John and Adolph.  She leaves behind a large devoted and loving family including her 3 sons: Alfred John , Ronald Michael, William Paul, and daughter-in-law, Mary; 4 grandchildren: Elizabeth, William (Carey), Jessica Lee (Michael), and Gina (Nick); 10 great-grandchildren: Rachel, Sophie, Jessica Mae, Hudson, Grady, Stevie Marie, Palmer, Pierce, Ofelia and Isabella; and 2 great-great grandchildren: Dexter and Evie Rose. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins, not only here in America, but also in Sicily. Our mother loved her family and above all, the children. Music and dancing were her favorite pastimes. It is all so new and surely the weight of our loss will be felt for a long time! Thank you all for expressing your love for our Mom, aka ‘Aunt Kay’ to so many in our extended family and friends.

I only met Ms. Rieber once (last year). While we were there she sang a song for us. There are not many angels on earth. She was one of them!
