Dearest Cousin Jon. I will treasure all of our times together, especially when we were younger. We did everything together! So many memories have been flashing through my heart all night. Jon, I want to thank you for: teaching me how to put worms on my hook when we went on our vacations with Nanny, for finding my stolen banana seat bike, for being my carnival buddy, always having my back, digging in the car seats to find spare change together (so we could go buy a treat on Ave. L), playing house with our friends in the store on Rockway Parkway, lighting off fireworks together, and for you always watching my back. I could write a book on our time spent together but instead, I’ll end with a favorite moment of mine with you. Nanny took us upstate and we were catching fireflies. Our jars were lit up like lanterns. Our smiles glowed as we looked through our jars filled with our fireflies. Jon, please keep your lantern lit until we see each other once again. I love you, Jon and I will always cherish our memories. I’ll see you when God call me. Forever, Your Cousin Tra-
