Zenon L. Post passed away peacefully on May 4, 2026, in Tarpon Springs at the remarkable age of 100½, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on September 23, 1925, in Cyprus, Zenon lived a life defined by perseverance, ambition, service, humor, wisdom, faith, and music. He immigrated to the United States in 1953 in search of greater opportunity and shortly thereafter in 1958 established his own real estate office in Bay Ridge. Through hard work and determination, he built a respected and successful real estate business and was a founding member of the Bay Ridge Bensonhurst MLS. His career later brought him to Manhattan, where he continued his work in real estate for many years.
Known to many by his unforgettable nicknames — “Mr. 2%,” “The Legendary Fortune Teller,” “Palm Reader,” and “Man of Wisdom” — Zenon had a larger-than-life personality and a gift for conversation, storytelling, and insight. Friends, clients, and family alike were drawn to his charm, humor, intuition, and colorful outlook on life. Whether offering advice, reading a palm, predicting fortunes, or simply entertaining those around him with his wit and wisdom, Zenon left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Zenon’s faith was one of the cornerstones of his life. He was a devoted Greek Orthodox Christian and a founding member of Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church, which remained close to his heart throughout his life. After relocating to Florida, he became a major supporter and donor in helping build Saints Raphael, Nicholas and Irene Greek Orthodox Church. His dedication to his faith, church, and community remained unwavering throughout his life.
He proudly served as a District Governor of Lions Clubs International, was a member of numerous organizations including the Masons, Toastmasters International, Rotary Club in Tarpon Springs. He was also a longtime supporter of the Guild for Exceptional Children and received numerous proclamations and community recognition awards for his dedication and service to others.
Beyond his professional and civic accomplishments, Zenon’s greatest passion was music. An accomplished piano player, he continued performing and playing throughout his life, including during more than twenty years of retirement in Florida. Music remained one of the defining joys of his life.
He is survived by his two sons, Marinos Post and Roger Post and daughter-in-law Susan Post, along with six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 1:00–3:00 PM and 5:00–7:00 PM at Thomas B. Dobies Funeral Homes.
He will be remembered for his strength, generosity, resilience, humor, wisdom, deep faith, love of family, and the music he carried with him throughout his extraordinary century of life.

It was our good fortune to know Georgia and Zenon, to play Scrabble with them on Sunday afternoons, to enjoy Georgia’s cooking, and to enjoy conversations on every subject imaginable.
Fun, encouraging, and always giving and sharing, they were the best.
May they continue their Scrabble games, and may Zenon find worthy backgammon opponents.
We send our love and good thoughts to the Post family.

May you rest in peace my dear (uncle) Zenon. I’m sure Georgia and my husband will be happy to have you join their political discussions, up there. Give them my love and tell them we are OK.

Zenon Post lived an extraordinary life—100 years filled with vision, generosity.
He was more than a real estate mogul and a gifted investor; he was a man who understood the value of building communities and opportunities for others.
I truly enjoyed playing Tavli with him on occasion and he always won especially if there was a Bette on the line.
My goodness, he really loved his music
One night he invited everybody from Rotary Club to his home and he and his intelligent wife, Georgia entertained everybody to a wonderful piano concert by a gifted singer.
Zenon gave freely to countless causes, always looking for ways to lift others up and make a lasting difference. That quiet strength of character is what truly defined him. When we were both members of Rotary Club, he always gave more to help the disadvantaged.
He will be remembered greatly missed.

Zenon lived and understood the value of building communities and opportunities for others. We were both members of Rotary Club of Tarpon Springs and he always gave in more than a generous manner to help people that are underprivileged and who needed help.
With his generosity, he touched many lives and improved there living conditions. Rest in Eternal Peace.

I first met Zeno around 1960 at a party possibly at Bill Loucas house, I believe it was someone’s name day. I was in my teens and was very impressed by his class and warmth and of course his palm reading. I lost touch with the family until we moved to Tarpon Springs twelve years ago. It was great seeing him again after so many years.

As Zenon’s life story here is told I am reminded how his wisdom and advice helped me “reshape” my life’s goals as a young man. Much more than fortune telling but advice with a warming tone that was everlasting.
“Zeno” as many called him will now walk with Jesus and be reunited with the love of his life, Georgia.
Rest in Peace Cousin. 🙏
