With deep love and gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the passing of Ruth Ann King, who departed peacefully on July 20th, 2026 at the age of 87.
Born on June 1st, 1939 in Pittsburgh, PA, Ruth was the beloved daughter and namesake of Ruth Bradley and Carl Keller. She shared a special lifelong bond with her cherished sister, Jayne Keller, whose friendship remained a constant source of joy throughout the years and her late beloved brother Carl Keller.
Ruth’s greatest pride and deepest joy were her four sons, whom she loved beyond measure and encouraged with wisdom, resilience, and love throughout their lives. John (Betty) Merlina, Curt (Yiara) Merlina, Kenneth (Jodie) Merlina, Cliff (Judy) Merlina and all their children and great grandchildren will miss her dearly.
Ruth loved her sanctuary of a home in sunny Pinellas Park, FL where she lived many of her best years with her eternal love, Charles King. While we grieve her absence here on earth, we are comforted with knowing she is rejoined in Chuck’s arms in heaven.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that random acts of kindness be performed in her memory.

Ruth lived life with a beautiful smile on her face and always welcoming everyone. She leaves this world with all of us remembering only the good. Truly talented in hosting, she made people feel special. However, SHE was the special one. Be kind to one another and hold dearly to your memories. We all share your grief, and may God grant you peace in knowing she is free of pain and safely home.
