Kenna left stories.

Kenna lived every day with her whole heart. She embraced an active, adventurous life, whether she was spending time with family and friends, out on the water, or at a live concert. She loved live music and somehow always found her way to the front row. She had an infectious smile, a contagious laugh, and a way of making everyone around her feel like they belonged. She was known for arriving fashionably late, but she was always worth the wait.

She made the world a little brighter simply by being herself. Behind her warm smile was a woman whose strength and determination inspired everyone who knew her. She had a special love for animals, especially cats, and if she came across one in need, she would not think twice about stopping to help. Anyone who knew Kenna knew that leopard print was her signature. Bold, vibrant, and unmistakably herself, she embraced life with confidence, humor, and compassion.

She believed life was meant to be celebrated, and she made everyone around her feel welcome to celebrate it alongside her. She loved deeply, laughed often, and lived unapologetically.

Kenna was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Doscher; her brother, Michael Mickelsen; her grandparents; and other beloved family members who went before her.

She will be lovingly remembered by her parents, Lana and Johan Sloots; her sister, Jenelle Imbres, and brother-in-law, Matthew Imbres; her brother, John Sloots; her beloved nephews, Jack and Liam Imbres; her cherished niece, Monroe Imbres; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

She also leaves behind her beloved cats, Hokey and Ellie, who were constant companions and brought her endless comfort, love, and joy.

Though her time with us was far too short, her stories will live on in every laugh shared, every concert enjoyed, every rescued animal, every touch of leopard print, and in the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to have known her.
