Johnson, Wayne Ernest Sr.
79,of Port Richey, Florida, entered into rest on February 22, 2020. He was born on May 14, 1940 in New York City, the son of the late John E. and Ruth Johnson. He was the owner of Diamond Core Drilling of New Port Richey. He loved to go to garage sales.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Illona (Olah) Johnson; sons Wayne E. Johnson Jr. and his wife Robin, of Land o Lakes; Douglas Johnson and his wife Delena, of Hudson; Greg Johnson and his wife Veronica, of New Port Richey; brothers Warren Johnson and his wife Judy of New York, Ernest Johnson and his wife Diane of New Jersey; eleven grandchildren, Cindy, Steven, Kimberly, Jessica, Jarrid, Rachael, Tabatha, Jarrod, Saoirse, Brooke and Brittany; and great grandchildren Lexi, Addison, Tarren and Reecelynn.

We were so sad to hear of Wayne’s passing. We will always remember the fun times we had especially when visiting you guys in Missouri and then Florida. The “laugh until we cried,†times will be missed the most. It’s because of Wayne and Lonnie that we moved to New Jersey. We will always be grateful. We love all of You! Rest In Peace, Wayne!

To the man who filled a spot in my life and heart. Tough man, strong man, Reba McEntire “The Greatest Man I Never Knew”, says it well. Didn't tell you he loved you but showed it. Trust was earned not given.
Fiercely protective of his family. After 38 yrs When I told him I love him 2 days before he passed he said ” I feel the same way about you and grunted”. Miss this man so much , miss his strength.
Rest in peace Dad we'll never forget you and we'll try not to mess up your “warehouse stuff” to much.
