Moffre, Kathleen S.
67,of San Antonio, Florida, passed away peacefully at Gulfside Hospice on March 21st after a courageous battle with cancer. Kathy leaves behind Patrick Moffre, her loving husband of 46 years, her sons Patrick A. Moffre (Eleana) of New Tampa, FL, Matthew J. Moffre of Clifton Park, NY, daughter Sheila M. Moffre of Clifton Park, NY and her grandson Logan R. O’Neil of Clifton Park, NY.
Kathleen was predeceased by her parents James and Agatha Maloney, sister Sheila Maloney, brother Joseph Maloney and sister Theresa Fontana (Marco). Kathy leaves behind her brother Jim Maloney (Theresa), sister Carol Vitagliano (Jerome), brother Kevin Maloney (Karen), brothers in law Peter Moffre (Liz), Gerard Moffre (Gayle), Dominick Moffre (Barbara), Michael Moffre (Angie), sisters in law Felice Moffre, Lynn Conroy (Kevin), Donna Gorman (William) and many nieces and nephews.
Kathleen was born on August 8th, 1952. She grew up in South Troy, NY and graduated from Catholic Central High School. After High School, she began her career working for the telephone company. During her time there she worked her way up in the company and she eventually retired in a management position. She was always well liked and forged friendships that have lasted a lifetime. On May 5th, 1973, Kathy married the love of her life. Together she and her husband raised their three children in Watervliet, NY. Later moving to Clifton Park and eventually retiring in Florida.
Kathy loved to be outdoors in her backyard and enjoyed tending to her plants. Her knack for gardening created a tranquil getaway in all of her homes. She was a loving mother and the best nana to her grandson. She loved to laugh and her family always came first. Her home was always open and over the years many family gatherings took place there. The countless memories and good times will forever be cherished in all of our hearts.
Our family would like to extend our gratitude to Gulfside Healthcare Services and all of the staff at The Rucki Hospice Care Center for the exceptional care and kindness shown to our family. And a special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Moffitt Cancer Center.
Friends and family will be welcomed to attend a Catholic memorial service in upstate NY to be determined at a future date.

My condolences to your beautiful family. Your love for each other became even more evident during these times when you pulled together and honored her by staying strong as a family. My heart breaks for my friend’s pain for the loss of her mother and watching her beloved Dad go through the loss of his wife and best friend. I know she will always be with you. Love can’t ever die. You’ve honored her and her memory proudly. May the Lord bless her soul and give you all comfort.
