James Floyde Griffin, III.
On Sunday, January 14, 2018, James Floyde Griffin, III, also known as, Jeff “THE DAD,†was called home by his Heavenly Father.
James Floyde Griffin, III, “Jeff,†served in the United States Army receiving the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, w/4 Bronze Service Stars Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal and Sharpshooter (rifle). He served his country with pride, and raised his family to honor God. His moral compass always pointed true, and his convictions were strong. Jeff Griffin was a true American patriot, and a man who loved deeply. “It is my prayer for you and our nation that we lift our arms in Jubilee and say,†Hallelujah, praise the Lord,†for He and He alone is our everything, our rock to anchor our salty souls to.†– Love the Dad.
He was married to the love of his life, Danielle Koster Griffin, nearly 47 years, and together had six children. Jeff Griffin was an extraordinary husband and father. His love for his wife was unconditional, and there has never been a greater love by a man for his wife. “Danielle, my D.S.P. (Darling Sweet Precious) how I so love you with all my heart. You are my best friend, my rock, my lover, my heaven on earth.†– Love the Dad.
He adored his six children, and told each of them they were his favorite, and truly meant it, as his love for them ran deeper than a thousand depths. “I love my kids soooo much. You guys are the most beautiful precious family a man could ever have. I want all of you to know Him (Jesus). There is going to be a big rendezvous coming soon!†– Love the Dad.
Known for his humor and practical jokes, Jeff gave a rouse to anyone who knew him. Always leaving a smile on your face, and making you feel like family, you never left without one of his famous bear hugs and thumbs up. He was an incredible man who served God wholeheartedly. It was his desire to bring in the Kingdom of God, and lead people to salvation. Leaving an impact on all our lives, Jeff will forever leave a mark on our hearts.
Jeff Griffin’s life was cut short at 70 years old, but his legacy will live on through his beloved wife, Danielle Koster Griffin, his sons James, Jeremy, Josey, Justin and only daughter Jessica. His memory will not be one which will fade, but live on forever. “I want to use my remaining moments to give beauty to those searching, Father God, let my little light shine, maybe I still can light the way to some of those green leaves that are hanging on, let me be a thing of beauty. I long to hear those cherished words from the Father, “Well done my good and faithful servant,†attaboy Jeff and welcome home. Here is a big Heavenly Hug.†– Love the Dad.
James Floyde Griffin, III, is survived by his beloved wife Danielle Koster Griffin, son: James Griffin, daughter-in-law: Jennifer Griffin, grandson: Sean Griffin, and granddaughter: Jordan Griffin, son: Jeremy Griffin, son: Josey Griffin, son: Justin Griffin, daughter: Jessica Griffin Weightman, Son-in-law: Seth Weightman, and granddaughter: Jamie Weightman. Jeff was preceded to his heavenly home by his son, Joshua Josiah Griffin in 2013.
We will be celebrating his life on Sunday, January 28, 2018. Please join us to honor Jeff’s memory. There will be a viewing at Dobies Funeral Home (6616 Congress St, New Port Richey, FL 34653) from 1:00pm to 2:00pm followed by an immediate procession to Jeff’s family farm for a celebration and service of his life, (Fairhaven Farm Hallelujah Land: 15212 State Rd. 52 Land O Lakes, FL. 34638).

Please join the Griffin family convoy taking Jeff Griffin home to his final resting place. A procession will be departing Dobies Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. traveling to Fairhaven Farm Hallelujah Land for Jeff’s celebration of life and burial.

My condolences to the Griffin family. Jeff was an amazing man. I know he loved his family very much. I will miss his spunk and love of scripture. Jeff, may you fly high with the angels and dance in the clouds. Godspeed!
