I knew Fred via our working together at the University of Florida financial aid office. We used to joke about being the longest-distance twins ever, as we were born on the same day. Sadly, life plus time and distance made our paths diverge and we fell out of contact. An odd coincidence; just yesterday, having never seen one, I saw a Giant leopard moth, Hypercompe scribonia, and I thought of Fred as I remember him being an entomology major. Maybe a calling-card from him? 🙂 Thoughts and prayers of hope, blessing and peace and healing to the whole family.
