June 19, 1950~June 21, 2021

Robert “Bob” E. Schinaman, 71, of Hudson, Florida, passed away on June 21, 2021, after an uphill battle of an aggressive form of esophageal cancer, encountering one complication after another, requiring one hospitalization after the other. After being told there was nothing more that could be done, he didn’t want to remain in the hospital and wanted to be home where he could be in the comfort of his home, surrounded and cared for by his wife, the love of his life, with support and assistance from other family members and Gulfside Hospice Care.

Bob leaves behind his wife Debra “Debbie” Schinaman of 42 years, who adored him; his son, Scott Schinaman; his grandsons, Bryce and Ethan Schinaman. Bob is predeceased by his parents, William and Jane Schinaman. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, and relocated to Florida 3 years ago. Although he wasn’t able to enjoy them the past few years, some of the things he enjoyed were traveling (especially beach vacations), cruising, golf, watching sports, reading, walks, and working crossword puzzles. His favorite place was Hawaii and had hoped to go back there one day soon.

Bob was always a hard, conscientious worker; he was meticulous, kind-hearted, and considerate. He had a sense of humor all the way to the end and was worried about others instead of focusing on him. Bob and Debbie were together 43 years and would celebrate 42 years of marriage in 2021. They were soul mates, best friends and enjoyed being together and doing the things they both loved. He peacefully passed away Monday morning with grace and dignity in the comfort of his home, surrounded by loved ones.

Celebration of Life Service to be announced at a later date.

To the entire Shinaman family, my deepest sympathies on Bob’s passing. Bob, my friend, keep smiling, as that is what I remember from working with you and our lunches after we retired. Rest in peace.
