Dear Family of Mrs. Oppenheimer,
As a child growing up in Middlefield, Mrs. Oppenheimer played an important role in our lives. I have so many fond memories of the time we spent together and, most importantly, when, in the late 50’s you took me on my first trip to Washington, DC, during school vacation. I don’t remember all the details, but I know it sparked an interest in politics, and it shaped my life.
Your mom always cut our hair and gave my mom her tight curl permanents. Oh, those were the days.
She made a difference in people’s lives.
“Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; love gives a memory no one can steal.”
Thank you for the good memories.
