Larry Allen Gransden, 81, of New Port Richey, Florida passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 21, 2021.
Larry was born in Edenville, Michigan to the late Orlo and Virginia Gransden on August 20, 1939.
Larry was proceeded in death by his parents, his brothers Wayne Gransden and Dennis Gransden, and grandson Alex Carr.
Larry is survived by his wife of 39 years, Mary-Ellen Ganzel Gransden, his daughter Beth Carr and husband John, Raleigh, NC, and Shelley Shurites and husband Charlie, Dallas, PA, his son Roger Gransden and wife Michelle, Shickshinny, PA, step-daughter Loretta Moore, New Port Richey, FL, step-sons Edward Moore, Bridge City, TX and Daniel (DJ) Moore and wife Nicole, Nederland TX, 11 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.
Larry graduated from Saline High School, Saline Michigan Class of 1957. He had a long career in the newspaper business in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Texas where he worked until retiring to Florida in 2011.
Larry enjoyed golfing with his buddy Mike Meyer and attending car shows, spending time with friends and family, and taking care of his home and yard. He also spent his time on his computer keeping track of the history and weather of all family members near and far.
He will be dearly missed by many. A private memorial will be held at the convenience of the family.

God places people in our lives for a reason and for our good. I thank God for Larry Gransden. He was one of my best awesome managers at PA News. I thank God for the times and things I learned from Larry that made life easier…in Production! His patience and knowledge were such rewarding times of developing me as a better person.
