Marie Navin, 91, passed peacefully, surrounded by family in Safety Harbor, FL on March 23, 2018. Born to Joseph and Kathleen Crimmins on March 4, 1927 in Brooklyn, NY, Marie was the oldest of 5 children. Upon moving from Brooklyn to Freeport, NY, Marie worked for Bell Phone Systems and the Village of Freeport Police Department. In 1993, she moved to the sunshine state with her love, Don, and found home in the Highland Lakes Community in Palm Harbor, FL.
Marie was predeceased by her husband, Don Navin who passed in 2000; son, Donnie Navin who passed in 1992; brother, Robert Crimmins who passed in 2015; and sister, Joan Trahman who passed in 2007. She is survived by her siblings, Joseph and Marion Crimmins, James Crimmins; sister-in-law, Judy Crimmins; children, Dennis Navin, Deborah and Thomas Frain; grandchildren, Kelly Navin and Randy Rice, Tommy Frain and Morgan Brennan-Frain; and great-grandchildren, Conor Brennan and Thomas Frain. Marie is also survived by countless nieces and nephews, cousins and friends from New York, to her Highland Lakes Community, and many places between.
Marie rarely skipped a night of cards with friends, going to the movies, or trying a new restaurant. She lit up any room she went into with her smile and laughter. Her husband was truly the love of her life; celebrating over 50 years of marriage together. Marie made a lasting impression on everyone she met and she will be deeply missed by many.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Dobies Funeral Home, 710 E Tarpon Ave. Tarpon Springs, FL. Mass will be held at 11 am on Wednesday March 28, 2018 at St. Ignatius of Antioch Church, 725 Orange St. Tarpon Springs, FL. Interment will follow mass at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.

Marie was a beautiful woman. Always with a pep in her step and a smile for all. Condolences to her family and many friends. She will be missed.
