August 26, 1951~August 24, 2021

Mary Anne left this world way too soon on August 24th, 2021. She is survived by her loving husband Joseph Kniffin, children: Frank and wife Shannon, Kenneth and wife Karina, Jennifer and husband Anthony, Daniel, Joseph and Jake; 10 grandchildren: Joel, Alyssa, Ashely, Kaitlyn, Marianna, Elijah, Mario, Abigail, predeceased grand-daughter Catherine, Emily, Kalissa, great-grandson Mason, one on the way and siblings Kenneth, George and Bridgette.

Mary could be described as extremely caring, compassionate, full of life and unconditional love, having a charitable heart and an effortless ability to be a friend to everyone she encountered.  There was a gentleness about her as she wore her heart on her sleeve and would do anything to help those around her.  The overwhelming theme of Mary’s life can be consolidated into two powerful words – FAMILY and CHARITABLE.

Her children and family were at the forefront of her life.  She would do anything for them whether they thought they needed it or not, because “a mother knows best”.  She would do anything and everything for her family.  She gave all of herself to her family holding nothing back pouring love into them every opportunity she had.  She traveled across continents and across states to be with her family whenever she was needed.  She traveled to Spain for her brother’s wedding and Minnesota for her son’s wedding, she traveled to New Jersey when her daughter lost her baby, Catherine and she traveled to North Carolina to visit her first great grandson after he was born.  There wasn’t anything she wouldn’t have done for her family because family was her heart, “MOTHER” was the core of her being as a person, a role she cherished.

Mary’s mission in this world was simply to make those around her feel loved with no expectations of anything in return, although it wouldn’t stop a line of bear hugs appreciating her kindness-Yeah she was a HUGGER.

Early in her career Mary stepped into a leadership role that earned her the affectionate title “work mom” from so many.  She treated everyone like family with love, compassion, kindness and respect.  Mary’s 25 years at Sam’s club and her relentless charity activities for the Childrens Miracle Network impacted many, old and young as she set out to be that beacon of hope for everyone around her throughout her life and career.

From the selfless love she poured into us, we will rise and live on knowing she watches over us.  She is loved by so many and will be dearly missed.

Rest In Peace Beloved Wife, Mother, Nana, Grandma, Sister, Friend we are forever changed, to live in the hearts of others is to never die.
